Rath Saptami~रथसप्तमी


रथसप्तमी या माघ सप्तमी एक हिंदू उत्सव है जो हिंदू माह माघ के शुक्ल पक्ष के सातवें दिन (सप्तमी) पर पड़ता है। यह मकर से शुरू होने वाले मौखिक विषुव के सूर्य के 'नोहरे आंदोलन' (उत्तरायण) के बाद सातवें दिन का प्रतीक है। इसे सांकेतिक रूप से सूर्य भगवान के रूप में चित्रित किया गया है, जो उत्तर गोलार्ध की ओर उत्तर दिशा में सात घोड़ों जो की सात रंगों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते है उनके द्वारा खींचे गए रथ को संचालित करता है। यह सूर्य देव के जन्म का भी सूचक है और इसलिए इसे सूर्य जयंती (सूर्य-देव का जन्मदिन) के रूप में बड़े धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है।

रथ सप्तमी वसंत के मौसम परिवर्तन और कटाई के मौसम के शुभारम्भ का प्रतीक है। अधिकांश भारतीय किसानों के लिए, यह नए वर्ष की एक नयी शुरुआत होती है। यह पर्व सभी हिंदुओं द्वारा अपने घरों में व् देश भर में सूर्य को समर्पित असंख्य मंदिरों में बहुत भक्तिभाव के साथ मनाया जाता है।

सूर्य पूजा हिंदू धर्म के वेदों में निहित है और इसकी प्राचीनता दुनिया के कई शक्तिशाली देशों व् साम्राज्य में देखने को मिलती है, जैसे कि चीन, मिस्र और मेसोपोटामिया आदि।

गायत्री मंत्र जाप - पवित्र वैदिक मंत्रोच्चार के साथ सूर्य देवता को प्रतिदिन हिंदुओं द्वारा बड़ी श्रद्धा के साथ पूजा जाता है। जैसा कि पौराणिक ईसाई धर्म प्रारंभिक ईसाई युग के निकट विकसित हुआ था | सूर्य की पूजा, विषुवों से जुड़ी हुई थी।


रथ सप्तमी का महत्व

रथ सप्तमी का दिन अपने रथ में भगवान सूर्य की उत्तरी गोलार्ध की यात्रा को दर्शाता है। यह वसंत के आगमन को चिह्नित करता है और दक्षिणी भारत के क्षेत्रों में जलवायु परिस्थितियों में बदलाव का संकेत देता है। यह किसानों के लिए फसल के मौसम की शुरुआत का भी प्रतीक है।

सभी प्रकार के दान-पुण्य कार्यों (दान और परोपकार) करने के लिए रथ सप्तमी का उत्सव अत्यधिक पवित्र माना जाता है। पौराणिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस अवसर की पूर्व संध्या पर दान करने से भक्तों को अपने पापों से मुक्ति मिलती है और दीर्घायु, समृद्धि और अच्छे स्वास्थ्य में वृद्धि होती है।

 

रथ सप्तमी की कथा

कम्बोज साम्राज्य के राजा यशोवर्मा एक महान राजा थे | वह धन -धान्य से पूर्ण थे व् उनकी प्रजा उनके शासन में बहुत सुखी थी किंतु उनके पास अपने राज्य को देने के लिए कोई वारिस नहीं था। वे भगवान् से हर दिन पुत्र प्राप्ति की कामना भी करते थे और एक दिन भगवान से उनकी सुन ली और उन्हें एक पुत्र की प्राप्ति हुई। लेकिन राजा की इच्छा पूरी नहीं हुई, क्योंकि उसका पुत्र मानसिक रूप से बीमार था। राजा के राज्य का भृमण करने आये एक संत ने राजा को सलाह दी कि उनके पुत्र को अपने पिछले पापों से मुक्ति पाने के लिए श्रद्धापूर्वक रथ सप्तमी पूजा करनी चाहिए। एक बार जब राजा के बेटे ने यह कार्य किये, तो उसका स्वास्थ्य ठीक हो गया और उसने अपने राज्य पर कुशलतापूर्वक शासन किया। एक मान्यता यह भी है कि ऋषि भीष्म ने रथसप्तमी के एक दिन के अंत में अपनी अंतिम श्वास ली।


रथ सप्तमी के दौरान अनुष्ठान:

रथ सप्तमी के शुभ दिन, श्रद्धालु सूर्योदय से पहले उठकर पवित्र स्नान करते हैं। रथ सप्तमी स्नान का एक महत्वपूर्ण अनुष्ठान है और इसे केवल 'अरुणोदय ’ की अवधि में किया जाना चाहिए। ऐसी मान्यता है कि इस मौके पर पवित्र स्नान करने से व्यक्ति अपनी सभी बीमारियों और परेशानियों से स्वतंत्र हो जाता है और अच्छे स्वास्थ्य की कामना करता है। इसीलिए रथ सप्तमी को 'आरोग्य सप्तमी' के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। तमिलनाडु में, श्रद्धालु इस पवित्र स्नान में इरुकु के पत्तों का उपयोग करते हैं।

स्नान करने के पश्चात, भक्त सूर्योदय के समय सूर्य देव को 'अर्घ्यदान' प्रदान करते हैं। अर्घ्यदान का अनुष्ठान नमस्कार मुद्रा में सूर्य भगवन को धीरे-धीरे पानी अर्पित करने से होता है, और यह क्रिया खड़े होकर सूर्य भगवान की ओर मुख करके की जाती है। हर बार सूर्य भगवान के बारह अलग-अलग नामों का जप करने के साथ कई लोग इस अनुष्ठान को १२ बार करते हैं।

इस शुभ दिन पर श्रद्धालु घी का दिया जलाते है और लाल फूल, कपूर और धुप आदि से सूर्य भगवान की पूजा करते है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि सूर्य देव इन सभी अनुष्ठानों का पालन करने वाले को अच्छी सेहत, लंबी उम्र और सफलता प्रदान करते है।

रथ सप्तमी के दिन, कई घरों में महिलाएं रथ के साथ सूर्य भगवान की छवियों को एक स्वागत योग्य स्वर के रूप में चित्रित करती हैं। वे अपने घरों के सामने सुंदर रंगोली बनाती हैं। आंगन में, दूध मिट्टी के बर्तन में डाला जाता है और सूरज के सामने रखा जाता है ताकि उसकी आंच से वह उबल जाए, फिर इस दूध का उपयोग सूर्य देव को अर्पित करने के लिए मीठे चावल या ’परमानंदम भोग’ (प्रसाद) बनाने के लिए किया जाता है।

‘गायत्री मंत्र’, सूर्य सहस्रनाम ’ आदित्यहृदयम्’ व् सूर्यष्टकम ’का पाठ करना इस दिन अत्यधिक शुभ माना जाता है।

Rath Saptami symbolizes the change of spring and the good morning of the harvesting season. For most Indian farmers, it is the new beginning of the new year. This festival is celebrated with great devotion by all Hindus in their homes and innumerable temples dedicated to Surya throughout the country.

Sun worship is rooted in the Vedas of Hinduism and its antiquity is found in many powerful countries and empires of the world, such as China, Egypt and Mesopotamia etc.

Importance of Ratha Saptami

The day of Ratha Saptami marks the journey of the northern hemisphere of Lord Surya in his chariot. It marks the arrival of spring and indicates a change in climatic conditions in areas of southern India. It also marks the beginning of the harvest season for farmers.

The celebration of Ratha Saptami is considered highly sacred for performing all types of charity and charity (charity and charity). According to mythological beliefs, it is believed that by donating on the eve of the occasion, the devotees get freedom from their sins and increase longevity, prosperity and good health.

 

Story of Ratha Saptami

King Yashovarma of the Kamboja Empire was a great king. He was full of wealth and his subjects were very happy under his rule, but he had no heir to give to his kingdom. He also wished to get a son every day from God and one day he listened to God and got a son. But the king's wish was not fulfilled, as his son was mentally ill. A saint who came to visit the king's kingdom advised the king that his son should worship the Ratha Saptami devoutly to get rid of his past sins. Once the king's son did this, his health recovered and he ruled his kingdom efficiently. There is also a belief that sage Bhishma breathed his last one day after Rathsaptami.


Rituals During Ratha Saptami:

On the auspicious day of Ratha Saptami, devotees get up before sunrise and take a holy bath. Rath Saptami is an important ritual of bathing and should be performed only during the period of ‘Arunodaya’. It is believed that by taking holy bath on this occasion, a person becomes free from all his illnesses and troubles and wishes for good health. That's why Ratha Saptami is also known as 'Arogya Saptami'. In Tamil Nadu, devotees use Iruku leaves in this holy bath.

After bathing, devotees offer 'Arghyadan' to the Sun God at sunrise. Arghyadana is performed by offering water slowly to the Sun God in the salutation pose, and this action is performed by standing and facing the Sun God. Many people perform this ritual 12 times, each time chanting the twelve different names of the Sun God.

On this auspicious day, devotees light a lamp of ghee and worship the Sun God with red flowers, camphor and sunlight. It is believed that Surya Dev gives good health, longevity and success to those who follow all these rituals.

On Ratha Saptami, women in many homes portray images of the Sun God with the chariot as a welcome tone. They make beautiful Rangoli in front of their homes. In the courtyard, milk is poured into an earthen pot and placed in front of the sun so that it is boiled with its heat, then using this milk to make sweet rice or 'Paramanandam Bhoga' (Prasad) to offer to the Sun God. Is done for Reciting 'Gayatri Mantra', Surya Sahasranamam 'Adityahrudayam' and Suryashtakam 'is considered auspicious on this day.
