Sakat Chauth~

This fast is going to remove all the troubles and sorrows and fulfill all the wishes and desires of the living beings.

Story

Once all the gods went to Lord Shankar. At that time, Lord Shiva also had Swami Karthikeya and Ganesh seated. Shivji asked both the boys- 'Which one of you is such a hero who can relieve the suffering of the gods?'

Then Karthikeya proved himself to be the commander of the gods and proved himself worthy of getting the post of Supreme and the highest Deity. Hearing this, Shivji wanted to know Ganesha's wish. Then Ganesha said politely - 'Father! If you are allowed, I can overcome all the crisis without becoming a commander.

Hearing this, Shiva laughed and asked the two boys to revolve around the earth and kept this condition - 'The first person who will revolve around the whole earth will be declared the hero and the best deity'.

On hearing this, Karthikeya proudly climbed his vehicle on the peacock and went round the earth. Ganeshji thought that it is very difficult to rotate the entire earth on the strength of the rat, so he thought of a trick. He sat around his parents seven times. On the way, Karthikeya saw the footprints of the rat in front of him in the entire earth circle. Returning after revolving, the decision came. Karthikeya started throwing mud on Ganesha and described himself as the only tourist of the entire planet. On this, Ganesha said to all the gods - 'Mother-father only contains all the pilgrimages, so I have done your circumambulation 7 times.'

All the gods and Kartikeya bowed their heads after listening to Ganesha. Then Shankarji praised Ganesha from the unfurled gorge and blessed- 'You will be the first to be worshiped in Trilok'. Then Ganeshji went according to the father's obedience and removed the crisis of the gods.

Knowing this auspicious news, Lord Shankar told his moon that on the fourth day, the moon will become the sehra (crown) of your (Lord Ganesha) forehead and provide coolness to the whole world. The woman and the man will give your worship and lunar prayers on this date. His trinity (physical, divine, physical) will go away and Aishwarya, the son, will attain good fortune. Hearing this, the Devas bowed to Harshatirek.
