Saphala Ekadashi~सफला एकादशी


सफला एकादशी पारंपरिक हिंदू कार्यक्रम में 'पौष' के लंबे खंड के दौरान कृष्ण पक्ष की  'एकादशी' (ग्यारहवें दिन) पर मनाया जाने वाला एक शुभ व्रतीय दिवस है। इस एकादशी को 'पौष कृष्ण एकादशी' कहा जाता है। ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर के अनुसार यह पर्व दिसंबर से जनवरी के महीनों के बीच पड़ता है। सफला एकादशी का दिन हिंदुओं के लिए पवित्र माना जाता है क्योंकि यह माना जाता है कि इस दिन सच्ची श्रद्धा से उपवास करने से भक्त अपने पापों से मुक्त हो सकते हैं और इसके अलावा एक खुशहाल जीवन की कामना कर सकते हैं। एकादशी एक व्रत प्रत्येक चंद्र हिंदू महीने में दो बार होता है और इस ब्रह्मांड के पालनकर्ता को सम्मान देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है, जो भगवान विष्णु के अलावा कोई नहीं है।

हिंदी में 'सफला' शब्द 'समृद्ध होना' का संकेत देता है और इस प्रकार इस एकादशी को किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति द्वारा मनाया जाना चाहिए जो जीवन के प्रत्येक क्षेत्र में सफलता और खुशहाली चाहता है इसीलिए सफला एकादशी को प्रचुर, सफलता, समृद्धि और भाग्य के द्वार खोलने का एक साधन माना जाता है। राष्ट्र के हर एक कोने में असाधारण ऊर्जा और उत्साह के साथ इसका जश्न मनाया जाता है। भगवान कृष्ण के मंदिरो में इस दिन विशाल समारोह आयोजित किए जाते हैं जिसमे की भगवान विष्णु के विभिन्न रूपों के बारे में बताया जाता है।

 

सफला एकादशी की कहानी

प्राचीन काल में, राजा महिष्मत चंपावती नामक शहर पर राज किया करते थे। उनके चार बेटे थे, जिनमें से लुम्बक बहुत निर्दयी और अनैतिक था। वह अपने पिता का धन बुरे कार्यो में प्रयोग करता था। उसके गलत कामों से दुखी होकर राजा ने उसे निष्काषित कर दिया लेकिन अभी भी लुंबक की लूट और चोरी की आदतें समाप्त होने का नाम नहीं ले रही थी। एक बार, उसे 3 दिनों तक अन्न खाने को नहीं मिला। इधर-उधर भटकते हुए वह एक झोपड़ी में पहुंचा। खुशनसीबी से, उस दिन सफला एकादशी थी। तो, उपदेशक ने उसका स्वागत किया और उसे भोजन खिलाया। ऋषि के इस व्यवहार के आगंतुक लम्भक का हृदय परिवर्तन हो गया। वह उसके चरणों में गिर गया और उनका आशीर्वाद माँगा। उपदेशक ने उन्हें अपना शिष्य बना लिया और समय के साथ, लुंबक का चरित्र अच्छा और साफ हो गया। उनके मार्गदर्शन के अनुरूप, लुम्बक ने एकादशी का व्रत प्रारम्भ किया। जब वह पूरी तरह से बदल गया और एक अच्छा इंसान बन गया, तो उपदेशक ने उसे अपना असली चेहरा दिखाया। उपदेशक के रूप में यह उनके पिता थे। इसके बाद, लुम्बक ने राजा के रूप में अपनी जिम्मेदारियों को बहुत अच्छे से निभाया और सभी के सामने एक उदाहरण रखा। और वह उसने तक सफ़ल एकादशी का व्रत रखा जब तक वह जीवित था।


सफला एकादशी के दौरान अनुष्ठान

भक्त भगवान विष्णु के नाम पर एक सफला एकादशी का व्रत रखते हैं।

एकादशी के दिन से शुरू होकर व्रत अगली सुबह के सूर्योदय तक जारी रहता है जिसे द्वादशी कहा जाता है।

पालनकर्ता को केवल सात्विक भोजन का सेवन करना होता है। व्रत के एक कठिन भाग में, भक्त आधे दिन तक आंशिक उपवास रखते हैं।

भक्त भगवान विष्णु की पूजा करते हैं और फिर देवता की प्रतिमा को तुलसी के पत्ते, अगरबत्ती, सुपारी और नारियल आदि अर्पित करते हैं।

अधिक फलदायी परिणाम पाने के लिए भक्त संध्या के समय भगवान कृष्ण के मंदिरो में दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर सकते हैं

सफला एकादशी की पूर्व संध्या पर, श्रद्धालुओं  को पूरी रात सोने से बचना चाहिए।

देवता को प्रसन्न करने के लिए सुखदायक कीर्तन और भजन किए जाते हैं

भक्त भगवान विष्णु की कथाओं और श्लोको का पाठ करते हैं

समापन हेतु, भक्तों द्वारा आरती की जाती है

सौभाग्य के लिए लोग ब्राह्मणों को भोजन और धन का दान भी कर सकते हैं

 

 



Saphala Ekadashi is an auspicious fasting day celebrated on the 'Ekadashi' (eleventh day) of Krishna Paksha during the long section of 'Pausha' in the traditional Hindu program. This Ekadashi is called 'Paush Krishna Ekadashi'. According to the Gregorian calendar, the festival falls between the months of December to January. The day of Safala Ekadashi is considered sacred for Hindus as it is believed that by fasting on this day with true devotion, devotees can get rid of their sins and further wish for a happy life. Ekadashi is a fast twice every lunar Hindu month and is committed to paying respect to the follower of this universe, who is none other than Lord Vishnu.

The word 'Saphala' in Hindi signifies 'to be prosperous' and thus this Ekadashi should be celebrated by someone who wants success and prosperity in every sphere of life that is why Safala Ekadashi is blessed with abundance, success, prosperity and luck. It is considered a means of opening the door. It is celebrated in every corner of the nation with extraordinary energy and enthusiasm. Huge ceremonies are organized on this day in the temples of Lord Krishna, in which various forms of Lord Vishnu are told.

 

Story of Saphala Ekadashi

In ancient times, King Mahishmat used to rule the city called Champawati. They had four sons, of whom Lumbak was very ruthless and immoral. He used to use his father's wealth in bad works. Unhappy with his misdeeds, the king expelled him but still not taking the name of ending Lumbak's loot and theft habits. Once, he did not get food for 3 days. While wandering here and there he reached a hut. By luck, it was Saphala Ekadashi that day. So, the preacher welcomed him and fed him food. Visitor Jambhak had a change of heart due to this behavior of the sage. He fell at his feet and asked for his blessings. The preacher made him his disciple and over time, Lumbak's character became good and clear. According to his guidance, Lumbak started Ekadashi fast. When he completely changed and became a good person, the preacher showed him his real face. This was his father as a preacher. After this, Lumbak carried out his responsibilities as king very well and set an example before all. And he kept the fast of Saphala Ekadashi till he was alive.

 

Ritual During Saphala Ekadashi

Devotees observe a Safala Ekadashi fast in the name of Lord Vishnu.

Starting from the day of Ekadashi, the fast continues till the next morning sunrise which is called Dwadashi.

The follower only has to consume satvik food. In a difficult part of the fast, devotees keep a partial fast for half a day.

Devotees worship Lord Vishnu and then offer basil leaves, incense sticks, betel nuts and coconut etc. to the idol of the deity.

To get more fruitful results, devotees can light a lamp in Lord Krishna's temples at dusk.

On the eve of Saphala Ekadashi, devotees should avoid sleeping all night.

Pleasing kirtans and hymns are performed to please the deity

Devotees recite the stories and shloko of Lord Vishnu

To conclude, Aarti is performed by the devotees.
