The Gurdwara was created in 1971 and is located on the corner of the Northern Relief Road/North Street in Barking, Essex.
The Gurdwara is a Sikh place of worship and serves the Sikh congregation from across North-East London, but also serves all communities.  It is open from 6am and closes at 9pm daily.   The Gurdwara works closely with other religious organizations in the South East and across London.
The Gurdwara offers a number of services daily and all community members are welcome.  The range of community activities provided includes Punjabi lessons, Library, Gym and fitness classes, Yoga for men and women, Gatka (martial art) and Kirtan music.  The NHS and the local police hold regular sessions to provide health services and police advice surgeries.  The Gurdwara also welcomes school trips and provides formal marriages ceremonies and funeral services.
The Gurdwara provides free food to all community members everyday and also works on other community projects where it distributes meals to the homeless in London.
