Vaisakhi~

Vaisakhi, also known as Baisakhi, Vaisakhi or Wasakhi, is a festival in Punjab. The festival has been praised by Hindus and Sikhs alike with incredible intensity and eagerness. Baisakhi coincides with festivals, for example, Vishu (Malayali New Year), Puthandu (Tamil New Year), Bihu (Assamese New Year) and Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year), this festival is in the month of April every year on the 13th Or falls on the 14th day.

The Importance of Support and Different Names

Apart from Punjab and Haryana, Baisakhi is praised throughout North India, although in many places it is identified with the crop. In Assam, the festival is called Bihu, during which it is gathered here. Also in Bengal it is called Poila Baisakh. Poila Baisakh is another year for Bengali people. This festival is called Vishu in Kerala. Sun arises in the Aries when it comes to Baisakhi, later similarly called Aries Sankranti.

The festival of Baisakhi is important for Hindus. It is believed that on this day the Ganga was born on Earth on the same date thousands of years ago on the Earth. This is the reason why bathing is done in religious rivers on this day. It is considered auspicious to go to the banks of the Ganges and perform Maa Ganga Aarti.

History of Baisakhi

This occasion is celebrated in the Punjab region of South Asia as a festival of years. Despite this, it was not until 1699 that the tenth Guru, known as Guru Govind Singh, chose the Sikhs to use the Reap festival as an attitude among the official pious people known as the Khalsa Panth.

He challenged any Sikh who came out of the tent of Vaisakhi with a sword in hand and was ready to leave his life in his tent. The first Sikhs served and followed Guru Gobind Singh in his tent. After a moment, the master returned the sword alone in his hand but now it stained in blood. He then asked for another volunteer, and then another one. Each time, the Sikhs disappeared into the tent and the Guru returned alone. Finally, after the 5th person disappeared into the tent, they got out of his tent and the master issued the order. He then named these 5 people Panj Pierre or "Believed Five". The Guru then baptized the men with nectar and asked them to pray over him. This tradition becomes the basis of baptism ceremony for Sikhs.

Rituals of Baisakhi Festival:

An important ritual performed during Baisakhi is Avat Puni. Here, people cut crops on the energetic beats of the drum and sing tunes of sweet people. , Nagar Kirtan ', religious parade, is a type of integral part of festivals. Nagar kirtan actually means "sing song of the city". Guru Granth Sahib - People gather and sing the psalms and mantras written in the Sikh book.
